Tha Bar Wa continues
support on energy efficiency to Rice Millers

On October 14th, Tha Bar Wa project, in collaboration with Helvetas Myanmar - Climate Smart Rice Project, conducted an online awareness and training session on sustainable production, focusing on Energy Efficiency to the rice mills. This online training aimed to help the rice millers better understand energy efficiency management, and to increase their knowledge and interest in undertaking energy efficiency audits to implement sustainable/ green solutions.

17 rice millers from Mon State and the Bago Region of Myanmar attended this online training. Most of the rice millers showed their interest in applying energy efficiency measures in their production process, including the possibility of utilising rice husks as an alternate source of energy.

An in-depth online training, which will focus on more details of energy efficiency audits for interested rice millers, is planned for November 2020.
