virtual trainings for rice millers,
in collaboration with Helvetas Myanmar

November 12th, 2020 An in-depth online training, which focused on details of energy efficiency (EE) audits for interested rice millers, was held by Tha Bar Wa in collaboration with Helvetas Myanmar and SUSTENT. The aim of this online training was to orient rice millers to get ready for EE audits next year, which will be carried out by Tha Bar Wa and Helvetas Myanmar.

During the training, case studies demonstrating how other factories have benefited from EE and what benefits rice mills can expect by participation was highlighted. A general overview of EE approaches for rice mills was also included. A team of Tha Bar Wa project trained National Consultants,  who will be conducting the EE audits, were introduced to the participating rice millers.

20 rice millers from Bago Region (Kawa, Waw and Thanatpin Townships) and Mon State (Thathone, Bilin and Mawlamyine Townships) participated in the online training. The training concluded with a question and answer session between the EE experts and rice millers. The next session, related to the preparation for the EE audit, is planned for December 2020.
